Savannah Ryan Salemme, Bright and Adventurous Teen from Dighton, MA, Tragically Dies in Car Accident at 18

Savannah Ryan Salemme, an 18-year-old from Dighton, Massachusetts, tragically passed away in a car accident on September 19, 2025. Her death has left the community in shock and mourning, as friends and family remember her vibrant spirit and love for adventure.

Born on May 22, 2007, in Weymouth, Savannah had spent her childhood in Randolph and Stoughton before her family settled in Dighton. She had recently graduated from the Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School with the Class of 2025, specializing in HVAC. Those who knew her admired not only her work ethic but also her positive attitude and determination.

Savannah was a passionate music lover and adventurer who loved to explore new places and try new things. She shared many of these adventures with her boyfriend, Shawn Ponte, and the two enjoyed spending time together working on cars and trucks. Savannah was also a member of the 603 Diesel truck club, where she connected with like-minded friends who shared her love for vehicles.

Savannah’s family remembers her as a loving daughter, sister, and friend. She is survived by her mother, Arianna Ellis, father Matthew Salemme, brother Leo Salemme, cousin Aubrey, and her extended family. Her beloved boyfriend, Shawn Ponte, along with his family, also mourn her loss. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and adventure.

Her passing has touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
